How big is the pad?

The pad is generously sized. It is approximately 36 inches wide by 56 inches long. It is sized to be large enough for a parent and a child. No seams to lay on. The pad is made from 3 layers of soft, thick, 8 oz flannel for absorbing leaking breast milk and baby spills. The pad is also great for night time diaper changes. (the pad is made using organic cotton and thread, and is filled with eco-friendly recycled polyfiber.)

How does the pad remove from the pillow/bolster?

The pad is attached to the bolster with super durable nylon snaps. They easily snap and unsnap so washing your pad is a cinch. The pad also easily detaches so you can use the bolster as a pregnancy body pillow. The pillow is stuffed with nearly 5 pounds of soft hypoallergenic recycled polyfiber.

How do I care for my Humanity Family Bed?

The bolster is surface washable, and just needs the occasional fluffing up. The pad can be washed with your regular laundry. Humanity Infant and Herbal recommends machine washing on cold temperature and machine drying on low, to prevent shrinkage. You can also hang your Humanity Family Bed® to dry.

Does the pad move or shift while in use, and can the bolster cover my baby?

The weight of Mother and child keeps the pad and bolster in place. (Remember, this product is designed for 2 people) Plus, the fabric is made of a non slick flannel, so it doesn't move or shift. The bolster, which is nearly 5 feet long and filled with roughly 5 pounds of fill, can't be pulled over on baby, and if baby is pushed or scoots toward the pillow the seemless design doesn't allow a crevice to form obstructing baby's breathing space.
