Maya Wrap FAQ
What are the benefits of using a Maya Wrap Sling?
Maya Wrap baby slings allow you to carry your baby and still have 2 hands free to do other things. The sling makes it easier to nurse discreetly in public. Using a sling also makes it easy to comfort an upset baby. Maya Wrap slings are easier on your back than many other carriers. The sling is also easy to carry with you, it will fit nicely in your diaper bag. Unlike padded slings, they are very cool to wear during the hot summer months. Maya Wrap slings are very adjustable, both mom and dad can use the same sling. It is also very easy to put on and take off.
What is the weight limit of the Maya Wrap Sling?
Due to strain on your back, the recommended weight limit is 35 pounds. The slings are capable of supporting over 100 pounds.

What is the difference between Fabric #15 and Fabric #59?
Fabric 15 and 59 are similar in color. Fabric 15 is a solid, that is woven with all threads that are the same color blue. Fabric 59 is like a Chambray fabric, with blue threads one way (warp), and white threads the other way (weft).
Are the Maya Wraps slings colorfast?
No thread is guaranteed colorfast. Your Maya Wrap has been pre-washed so the color should not bleed, however, Maya Wrap recommends that you test your Maya Wrap sling before you first use it by pressing a moist white cloth or cotton ball against it. This is especially true if you have ordered fabrics 37,51, or 63.
Are the dyes used to color the Maya Wrap fabrics safe?
The dyes used to make Maya Wrap Baby Carriers do not contain any copper, nickel, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, aluminum, arsenic, chromium or any other poisonous substance.
